When I was a child, I spoke as a child...

"The trouble with the God of my childhood was that he refused to grow up, and I refused not to grow up."

David Boulton, British broadcaster and Quaker, in The Trouble with God.

  1. Yep, that pretty much sums it up -- what else can one say for a god who "changes not" and is "the same yesterday, today and forever"? Not much room for growth or maturity there...

  2. Ken, perfection doesn't necessitate change.

  3. "Not much room for growth or maturity there..."

Nor any need for it, unless of course He is just a 'human' like the rest of us, in which case, 'He' would lose his classification of "Deity" and would be just another Justin Bieber or something.
